Happy New Year Boscobel!

2015's looking to be an exciting year at the library! some of what we're currently working on:

E-book Readers and Tablets Support Group:
did you get a new Kindle, Android Tablet, iPad, Samsung Nook or other device this Christmas? We can help you set it up to get free e-books, audiobooks, movies, music and more through our library's Overdrive Digital Media Collection. Watch this page for meeting dates and times or call the library today to set up an appointment.

Urban (Rural!) Sketch Crawl, see  Boscobel one drawing at a time!: Following up on the Urban Sketching phenomena that has spread the joy of casual drawing and sharing art worldwide, we're looking to pull together a group of interested adults and older kids to hang out and draw people, buildings, trees, places and scenes all around Boscobel! You don't need to be an artist to do this, just be interested in drawing, looking, doodling and creativity. Library will provide basic materials (or bring your own pencils, pens, sketchbook, colors.), Urban Sketchers technique resource books, advice, and meeting dates, time and place. Call 608-375-5723 to sign up or email libraryboscobel at gmail dot com.

Spring Storytime!
Preschool age children and their families get ready for another exciting series of reading and activity programs designed to spark your little one's interest in books, provide creative activity, play and social time with other children and give parents and caregivers a chance to meet, talk and help their children find great books to take home and read together.

Technology Makerspace and "Petting Zoo": this yearlong project will bring some new tech tools to the library for patrons to try out and evaluate. New image scanner, 3-D and or wireless  Printers, iPads, digital crafts, QR wearable codes and guides,  MakeyMakey robotics and other unique and forward thinking projects and services will be in the mix as we explore the next generation of library services and collaborations with you, our community! If you have ideas, needs or interests related to this subject area, please get in touch with us.

Boscobel Library now on Tumblr: yet another social media site where we can share images and ideas for great programs, services, activities and events at our library. Click on over and see what we're finding and are up to!

'Till soon....
