Thur April 9th, Open Mic Library at Timber Lane!

April is National Poetry Month and we're throwing a party for better or verse with our friends at Timber Lane Coffee , 934 Wisconsin Ave., Boscobel. On Thursday April 9th from 6 -8:30 pm we'll be hosting Speak the Word!, an evening of open mic poetry and  creative reading out loud.  All readers, writers, poets, songwriters, lyric talkers and listeners welcome.  Bring your own work, a friend's work, a favorite poem or borrow one of ours to share. Poetry books available on site. Fun, drama & inspiration for all. Stage fright removers available. Catch yourself thinking- aloud!

What exactly is Open Mic or Spoken Word Poetry?  Have a look at these inspiring videos and decide for yourself, spoken language is alive, exciting and thriving globally within this unique form:
Clementine von Radics, performing at the February 2015 Soap Boxing Poetry Slam in St. Paul, Minnesota
Marvin Hodges - "Blue Genes" (CUPSI 2015 Finals)
