Interested in Boscobel's past, families, architecture, businesses and long history from its origins as a Wisconsin River port of call, important Milwaukee Railroad stop and thriving Civil War era city to today's scenic Wisconsin Outdoor Recreation Destination? You're invited to join us at the library this coming Thursday, March 1st at 6:30 PM for the Library History Club and Archive meeting, downstairs in the clubroom. Everyone interested in remembering Boscobel's past is invited to attend for a friendly discussion and sharing of memories, artifacts, etc.
This month's topic will be focussed on the pioneer Prairie Du Bay settlement and the ferry(s) that crossed the Wisconsin River to Georgetown. We encourage people to bring to the meeting any materials, photos or scrapbooks they may have related to the topic for "show and tell" sharing.
For more information about the history club and to see some recent discoveries and topics, visit our Boscobel Public Library History Club and Archive page and discussion group on Facebook. We look forward to seeing you!
Meeting dates and times may be subject to change due to severe weather or other circumstances beyond the library's control. Please check the History Club Facebook Page above, or call the library 608-375-5723 for the latest updates.Thank you!
