The Boscobel Public Library Board of Trustees announces an open search for our next Boscobel Library Director, due to the retirement of our current Director.
This is a full-time administrative position with competitive benefits. A four-year college degree from an accredited institution and a Regular Grade II Wisconsin library certification, or the ability to acquire this certification are required. A minimum of one year's of experience as a public library Director, or two years of public library experience in an equivalent supervisory role is highly desired. MLIS a plus, but not required.
The City of Boscobel (Pop. 3200), is located directly on the Wisconsin Riverway, and offers many outdoor recreation opportunities as well as a safe, friendly and affordable small town atmosphere. The library serves Boscobel and the surrounding five county area as part of the Southwest Wisconsin Library System. Housed in a 1925 Claude and Starck Carnegie building on Boscobel's main street, Wisconsin Avenue, the library is at the center of the community and offers many creative opportunities to plan, lead and grow library services and outreach.
